I have always taken an interest in anything artistic. Since the
age of five, I have been drawing, sculpting, writing, singing,
and taking photographs. I am told that I have a wonderful eye
for composition and for capturing people, animals and things
as they truly are - capturing the moment you might say.
My educational and career background are in Social Services,
and I have my BS in Psychology and my MA in Rehabilitation
Counseling from NYU. While I no longer work the field, I
have found that my counseling skills transfer into my work as
a photographer. I work well with other people (including
children) even in high stress situations (such as weddings) and
am able to capture within the camera underlying emotions
and relationships between people and their environment not
readily seen.
I am primarily self-taught as a photographer though I have had
several wonderful peers take me under their wing and teach
me some of what they know. I tend to have an eye for the
artistic though am very comfortable with the technical aspects
of photography as well. In addition to being a photographer, I
also model and am a Certified Personal Trainer. These allow
me to relate better to my subjects always being able to put them
at ease while capturing them at their best.
My rates are more than reasonable, and I am available to shoot
portraits (including children, pets, maternity/labor, etc.),
weddings, and events. I have experience with model
portfolios as well as actor headshots. I love working at
weddings and events (bands, karaoke competitions, etc.), and
when I am not shooting for pay, I love photographing
animals, wildlife, nature, landscapes and architecture.

My schedule is fairly flexible and I am available to shoot on
location, at your home and have a small studio area within my
home in Collegeville, PA (near Philadelphia) as well. I am in
the process of obtaining access to a full studio, and this should
be available towards the end of Summer '07.
While primarily based in the Philadelphia area, I occasionally
travel to New Jersey, New York City and Long Island, North
Delaware, Maryland and DC. I am available to travel these
places and elsewhere and ask only that my travel expenses be
paid for in addition to my photography rates.
